The Winning Hand
- The 1st two game cards total a hand value of 9.
- The 2nd highest hand value equals 8.
- These hands are called natural hands.
- A natural hand value of 9 will always beat a natural hand value of 8. If the Bank or yourself has a natural 9 or 8, other players may not be allowed to pull a 3rd card.

The value of the hand closest to 9 would be the winning hand. Hand values are calculated by adding up the number of cards. See card values below

If your hand value is greater than nine, the hand value is now seen as a "unit" portion of the game total. For more information, see the examples below.
Examples:
- Game hands consist of 8 of Clubs & a 7 of Diamonds. The point values are 8 & 7, thus making the total of your hand 8 + 7 = 15. Seeing that the "10" portion of your hand total is ignored, the value would reflect as 5.
- A hand contains a 9 of Spades, a 2 of Hearts & a 9 of Diamonds. The point values are 9, 2 and 9, so the total of the hand is 9 + 2 + 9 = 20. As the "tens" portion of the total is ignored, the hand value is 0.
Additional Cards
If no one has a natural 8 or 9, everyone receives a third card. The Banker's next move (drawing or standing) will depend on the player's hand total which gives you a slight advantage.
To Play Online Baccarat at Platinum Play Online Casino, you need to do the following:
